I've listened to pretty much every Jamiroquai album, so not many exceptions here. Let's go.
Meh. Some of the songs drag on for far too long, especially Revolution 1992 which could be done in like five minutes instead of 10. I don't really have any favourites in the album, and (beware Jamiroquai purists) EOPE is my least favourite Jamiroquai album.
A huge improvement. Apparently Jay Kay was suffering from second album syndrome while making this, and tbh I think it made this album sound amazing as a result. Favourite songs are "Just Another Story" and "Space Cowboy". I much prefer the album version of "Space Cowboy", not the single version.
Probably my favourite Jamiroquai album. Bangers almost all the way through, and the bonus tracks are amazing too. Of course, we all know and love "Virtual Insanity", but I personally love "Cosmic Girl". I really enjoy Jamiroquai's disco tracks, as you will probably see in the next few albums. I also love "Do You Know Where You're Coming From" (a bonus track not technically from Jamiroquai) and "Funktion".
Lit disco tracks galore. "Canned Heat", "Black Capricorn Day" and "Soul Education" are my favourite tracks. I don't have much to say on this album.
The turning point in Jamiroquai's career where a lot of hardcore fans started getting disillusioned with their musical direction. Even my Jamiroquai-loving friends treat this as their least favourite album. While Jamiroquai prided themselved on their acid jazz music, here things turn a little more disco and electronic. Honestly though, this is probably my second favourite album of theirs after TWM. Obviously it doesn't compete with the likes of Daft Punk's "Discovery" released in the same year, but it still holds up well. "Little L" and "Feel So Good" are my favourites. "Main Vein" also deserves a special mention.
I was kinda "eh" on this album at first but now I've grown to appreciate it. It kinda carries on the themes from AFO but reincorporates their acid jazz roots. I haven't listened to this (or any of Jamiroquai's music, to be frank) recently, but "Starchild" sticks out to me.
A joke of an album to most of the Jamiroquai community. Have you seen that album cover? Gross. The album itself isn't too bad, but no one really cares about this album, including myself.
Again, nothing much to say. The title track sounds absolutely dogshit but the rest of the album is bearable.
