Music Media

Here are all the albums/singles/whatever I own and want in physical form. I used to have records of other artists that I stole from my great-uncle, but the music wasn't the type I listened to, so I ended up giving them away. (I could have given it back to my great-uncle, but he died before I could.)

A more extensive wishlist (outdated) and collection can be found at my discogs. As of 12 May 2022,, the collection section here is outdated. Photos will be uploaded soon, but check my discogs for the most up to date version.

This is an image heavy page. If any images don't load, right click on the broken image icon and click "load image". It should do the trick.

Music I want

Album name: Timely!!

Artist name: Anri

Year: 1983

Format: Vinyl

About: Ah yes, one of the holy grails of city pop. Tbh the only reason I want this is for the photos of Anri in the insert. It would be nice to put on my wall.

Album name: Love Trip

Artist name: Takako Mamiya

Year: 1982

Format: Vinyl

About: Another extremely popular city pop album. Unfortunately, no matter how many times this gets released, the price keeps ballooning, so this might be a purchase for the distant future.

Album name: Sea Is a Lady

Artist name: Toshiki Kadomatsu

Year: 1987

Format: Vinyl

About: One of my favourite Toshiki albums. It actually used to be my favourite album of all time. Again, currently too expensive, for whatever goddamn reason.

Album name: After 5 Clash

Artist name: Toshiki Kadomatsu

Year: 1984

Format: Vinyl

About: Yet another holy grail of city pop. Too expensive. But probably because it's one of Kadomatsu's best works.

Album name: Wave

Artist name: Anri

Year: 1985

Format: Vinyl

About: An underrated Anri album. Not quite like the rest, but that's what makes it so special. I guess because it's not that well known, it's a lot more affordable than her other albums.

Album name: Amore

Artist name: Alessandra Mussolini

Year: 1982

Format: Vinyl

About: The only album by the granddaughter of dictator Benito Mussolini. Nowadays she's a politician that I doubt any Italians take seriously. Surprisingly, this album is actually really good. Not god tier, obviously, but really good considering who it is. Unfortunately, this album is pretty expensive, and I might consider burning this onto CD instead.

Album name: Discovery

Artist name: Daft Punk

Year: 2002

Format: Vinyl

About: I personally consider Discovery to be one of the greatest albums of all time by one of the greatest artists of all time. I would fucking die if I ever got this on vinyl, but due to its price, I might have to settle for CD burning instead.

Album name: Okurimono

Artist name: Yukiko Okada

Year: 1984

Format: Vinyl

About: A compilation of Yukiko's first three singles and their b-sides, plus a bonus song "Believe In You". The bonus song is really the only reason i want the album lol

Album name: Jyuugatsu no Ningyou (October Mermaid)

Artist name: Yukiko Okada

Year: 1985

Format: Vinyl

About: Yukiko Okada's third album. This album really displays her growth as a singer.

Album name: Saam Jaai (Heart Debt)

Artist name: Anita Mui

Year: 1982

Format: Vinyl/Cassette

About: Anita Mui's debut album. On an unrelated note, for some reason, the version I downloaded on my laptop had only the first six songs.

Album name: Okurimono II

Artist name: Yukiko Okada

Year: 1985

Format: Vinyl

About: Another compilation of four of Yukiko Okada's singles and their b-sides, plus another bonus song "Kohitsuji Note".

Album name: First Blood

Artist name: Yasunobu Komatsu

Year: 1986

Format: Vinyl

About: An obscure album that I was introduced to by a former friend. I can't really find any information on this dude. My favourite track on this album is "Seaside Hotel", and I'd love to hear it for myself on vinyl, since the rip my friend gave me is pretty crap.

Album name: Sinaran

Artist name: Sheila Majid

Year: 1989

Format: CD

About: An album of the Malaysian queen of jazz released in Japan. It has the best version of Sinaran that I can't seem to find a download of. I really hope I find this album somewhere.

Album name: Volume 45

Artist name: Pochonbo Electronic Ensemble

Year: 1992

Format: CD

About: My favourite album from the North Korean band. I'm still in awe at the fact that their music is available in the west for download. I long for the day I can lay my hands on just one of their CDs.

Album name: Post Human: Survival Horror

Artist name: Bring Me The Horizon

Year: 2020

Format: Vinyl

About: The only BMTH album I want on vinyl (except maybe Sempiternal). That artwork is absolutely stunning, and I think my room will look great with it. Not to mention the album has bangers all the way through.

Music I wanna burn on a CD

because sometimes you really like an album but you don't think it's worth buying

Album name: The Used

Artist name: The Used

Year: 2002

Format: CD (burned)

About: Probably one of my favourite albums from The Used, along with Lies for the Liars. I don't really like the album cover, so I'll just burn it and all of their other albums onto CDs lol

Album name: That's the Spirit

Artist name: Bring Me the Horizon

Year: 1985

Format: CD

About: Even though TTS is their best album, I'm not sure if I want to buy it. I definitely wouldn't get this on vinyl (I don't think it would sound nice like that) and the physical album cover is drab. I'll stick with burning.

digital version only. the physical version is literally just donda cover with "that's the spirit" written in the middle

I'm easily able to burn music onto a CD with my family PC, but I'll wait until I buy some RCA speakers to plug my CD player into.
